Just curious, but does Sowell train his critique on his own side? As I mentioned, much of the research done on the subject seems to have come from left-leaning academics, or to support left-leaning notions. yet there does seem to be a considerable degree of objectivity - at least in terms of trying to find a science in it. Does Sowell point to research that finds a framing for a liberal and conservative mindsets, especially that done by conservatives? I haven't read him, but as far as I can tell he's pretty partisan and more interested in polemics.

Right, but A) is this more so today, and B) what drives it? I can't help but think trying to understand it can help us all better understand our own biases.

- I mean, it's easy to find fault in the other guy's blindspot. But forming a framework for finding patterns in our respective cognitive framings is really interesting.
