This critique of Obama from the right has fascinated me, ever since the teleprompter meme. There's obviously an enormous amount of bias in it, and I wonder how much identity politics plays a role. With Gingrich as well, on the left.
The right likes certainty, as opposed to nuance, "masculine" forceful presentation and domineering conviction, as opposed to "feminine" softness and passive listening, or "openness". These are strongly associated with traditional versus progressive social identities.
