But of course this is all irrelevant. Torture is wrong. Period. It's not wrong "because it does not work." It's wrong even if it works (which it doesn't).

The US Marine Corp (re)learned that torture doesn't work during the Second World War. I guess they weren't invited to the meeting. You can read Major Morans memo on the subject here
