But yes, I suppose he "was completely committed" in the same sense he was "completely committed" to closing Guantánamo, ending extraordinary rendition, sitting down with any world leader anytime, ending DADT, passing cap and trade, not engaging in Bush era secrecy and gargantuan executive abuses (like death warrants for US citizens), etc.
Wonderment, what happened between the summer of 2009 and February 2010? Do you remember? I'll remind you. No Republican Senators came forward to support HCR at all, let alone the public option, and not all 60 Democrats were behind the public option. Then Scott Brown won. And it's not like the Democrats have dropped it. It's an idea that people are still working on. So it's not a massive betrayal of the progressive movement to drop something that you can't get right now. That Greenwald and you act like it is says a lot more about your holier-than-thou schtick than it does about Obama.
