I will leave the question of political utility to you and the rest of the mighty netroots. But I am interested in your thoughts on my piece for Reason, which demonstrates a clear continuity between Bush and Obama on the question of the president's war time authorities. Leaving aside the heated adjectives, I think it is just a plain fact that Obama has adopted the same war powers as post-2006 Bush, which are exercised in the context of a war that has no temporal or geographic boundaries.
