Default

Looks like some kind of political statement -- I'm not going to delete this as spam. (Plus I love the look of Arabic text.)

Can anyone reading the above translate, please?

Looks like a petition, judging by the URL and the cartoon. Part of why I decided to let this stand, rather than use my lordly spam-busting powers.

I think the deal is that you should use the official Saudi government form to request a site be unblocked rather than using proxy software to get around the block. You'd have to be insane to use it.

Yeah, that could be what it says.

As to the insanity -- if we all (who don't live in SA) start filling out that form ... I mean fifty people a day, can you imagine fifty people a day? ...

I wouldn't bet on it. I lived in Saudi Arabia for a few years (as the manager of a language school). If I learned one thing about the Saudi government it was that it is xenophobic. Needless to say, the xenophobia towards kafirs (infidels) is even greater. Sending petitions to SA would be a little like sending a satellite to other regions of the universe.

I doubt you would be game, but I would love to hear an Apollo project diavlog about your experiences in SA.

(Or a real diavlog, but the standards by which First Stringers are chosen seems increasingly arbitrary.)

Thank you nikkibong. But who would be my partner? I doubt that I have anything significant to say about SA. I lived and worked there between 1997 and 2000---before every American and his grandmother became an overnight expert on Arabs and Islam. SA is one of the weirdest countries on the planet, but that only makes it all the more difficult to discuss with people who have never been there.

Default Islamophobe?

Despising Muslim terrorists is islamophobia? Really? Do I want to ban the burqa or ha-jib?

Interesting word. Any non-Muslim is on the wrong side of war on non-believers declared in the Koran (sp). I think that an American Muslim is on oxymoron. Any Muslim must accept 100% of the Koran one can not pick and choose. They have a book and must live by it. Shari Law states that it is the only law. Therefore no US Constitution. Taqiyya states that it is OK to lie, steal, cheat and even kill non-believers. According to the Koran if any verse is in conflict with another verse ALWAYS take the later verse. The peaceful ones are at the beginning the violent ones against ME are at the back of the book.
So what do we have:
1. a book that declares war on non-believers the Koran (sp)
2. Muslim must accept 100% of the Koran.
3. verses in conflict in the Koran the Muslim must take the later verse.
4. Taqiyya states that non-believers can be lied to cheated and stolen from and even killed.
5. All non-believers must convert or be killed

It is only a mater of time before they move on their written plan. WTF do you not understand??

I spent a few months in Bahrain a couple of years ago, but yes, you're probably right that there's not an appropriate interlocutor for such a DV.
