Re: What People Know About Drugs is Wrong (John McWhorter & Mark Kleiman)
I really like Mark Kleiman, and his pragmatic view of criminal justice, but I'm curious about what, if anything, Kleiman thinks about weighing the interests of those whose lives benefit from recreational drug use against the threats that he sees from it. Has he addressed this anywhere else, and I just missed it? I really like the two of them; I hope Bob pairs them up again around Nov. 2012 when a lot of legalization and decriminalization ballot initiatives will up for a vote. By the way, who else thinks that McWhorter is one seriously articulate son of a bitch?
