The multi-presidentially abused War Powers Resolution of 1973 kicks in next week. What will Obama do?
We've been in Libya for 60 days in a mission that Obama promised would take "days, not weeks."
Both sides continue to commit atrocities against each other, and NATO continues to kill civilians while claiming the bombing campaign is directed at only military targets.
The administration apparently has no intention of pulling out of the Libya campaign, and Mr. Steinberg said that Mr. Obama was committed “to act consistently with the War Powers Resolution.” So the Obama legal team is now trying to come up with a plausible theory for why continued participation by the United States does not violate the law.
This is a good opportunity to let your Congress members know how you feel about the war(s).
