I've been very impressed with PBS' Online Newshour coverage of the DNC (and I predict I will also feel the same about the RNC). BhTV just has not been useful to me. PBS' live coverage and commentary (David Brooks, Mark Shields, Peniel Joseph, Richard Norton Smith, Michael Beschloss, Judy Woodruff, Gwen Ifill, Jim Lehrer) trumped any coverage I've ever watched before. There is also the backbench: Obama's Speech Attracts 38 Million Viewers, Earns Mixed Reviews
For whatever technical reasons, bhTV's delayed commentary isn't timely. bhTV is like The Economist: it's good after one reads the dailies and the blogs, but not in lieu of. And, since I could care less what Conn Carroll says, there are just too many diavlogs not worth watching. The boards are better than the 'heads.
