BH logo and home page design

Hello Blogging Heads Community,

I am a longtime BH viewer/lurker. I am also a designer. I just sent the fine folks at BH a new logo and homepage design. I thought it was time for an upgrade, so I took matters into my own hands, unsolicited and unpaid.

The current logo is kitchscy, it's silly, it is slightly adorable, and a little bit endearing. However, in my humble opinion, it does a very bad job of representing the sophisticated content on Blogging Heads. The new logo represents Blogging Heads' opposing viewpoints, wealth of content, nuanced opinions, and digital distribution. Check out the logo and the home page.

Since the comment community is such a key part of BH, I wanted to give you the opportunity to comment on the designs. Applaud it or shred it, I am interested in your opinions.
