Re: Strategic Binds (Charli Carpenter & Daniel Drezner)
As a non-American I am interested to formulate the value of an American life. Do I understand correctly that the debate about the legality of extrajudicial executions only arose related to American citizens? And do I then correctly understand that the extrajudicial killings of non-American is a non-issue to Americans? I heard before from right-wing Americans that they believe the US Constitution only applies to American citizens.
It would be an interesting debate if you replaced the wording 'law' with 'shariha' and have this debate take place between two Al-Qaeda theologists in Pakistan, about the legality of killing Americans.
