Although this position is not unheard of, I think it's a little pedantic. Surely there is a substantive difference between an atheist's position/opinion/belief about a god and your belief about the color of my hair or the existence of a trumpeter named Rocky from Ann Harbor who has memorized every one of your posts here? Sure, there are some categorical differences (namely, your a priori assessment of the probability of various answers). But I think this move to co-opt everybody who won't commit to a religion and who consistently, unapologetically state their lack knowledge about the existence of a god into what some would call a movement of "atheism" is simply a form of philosophical Manifest Destiny.
