Which raises a related point, now that you mention it, graz: To my mind, those bloggers who decided to go work for campaigns hurt themselves just as much as an MSMer does when he or she takes a job, say, as a campaign spokesperson. Note that I do not
think there is anything wrong with either choice -- in fact, I can admire it if I perceive commitment to a cause. But I do think it hurts the credibility of the blogger as an independent voice should he or she return to straight-up, self-employed blogging.
This can be rectified with time, of course. But it does take no small amount of it.
