I've seen a parent hit their kid who was in the back seat (in their child seat). The woman was driving in front of me and the kid threw a book at the Mom from the back seat and the Mom went ballistic and reached backed to hit and shake the kid.

Adults can lose it; kids can be insanely difficult. However, somehow you've got to control yourself and not drag or shake the kid. It is totally normal to be that pissed off at your kid or a child though.
