I should have known that expecting one thread to be able to contain all the fauxtrage, paranoia, hypocrisy, and other hilarity was unrealistic. Since part 1 of this thread is now large enough to be sluggish on loading, let's start a new one.

And what better way to do so, than to call attention to Roy Edroso's latest column? In his introduction, he tells us what he has in store:
