I think it would help a lot if you read Obama's book: "Dreams from my father". He wrote it in 1994, so 14 years prior to his election as US president. Read it not for its "literary" accomplishments, but to get a closer look of his background and the source of his ideals and convictions. I hope it will give you a very clear picture of the differences between GWB and Obama, as people, as men: where do they come from and where are they heading.
