You can do just that, and if one can't live to a standard of excellent in posting, then leave. Stop posting as a matter of routine. Bheads will still be here if or when you decide to get back.

The top 10 posters on this forum should have a week ban just to clean this place up. Too many of them have your attitude about these things, and they stink up an otherwise good forum. If you don't want to take the time to make an intelligent reply, then just don't reply. Is it that hard?
Remember, Every Diavlog is a New Day . If you seriously think you've written the best you can on any subject, realize that the forum has a search function. Just link to a previous post of yours and say, "this discussion is like this other discussion here." or quote the relevant part.

The first 2 pages are some meta discussion where they all clamp down on Operative when it was Matt Y. who made the stupid statement. The contrast of Keynes is not with The Austrians, of which Hayek was the most famous and yet still mostly ignored by the political and intellectual establishment during the 30's, but with the Classical Era which said that it was not possible for every industry in an economy to fail simultaneously; that a great depression was impossible. It'd be one thing if it was a rap of Say's versus Keynes. Then Matt's objection could possibly hold, maybe, been years since I read either man.

Operative's crime was that he tried to be too clever and do a reversal. Not just that Matt was wrong, but that the opposite was true; which, he followed with an unconvincing lazy link. If he had, say, Linked to a specific Austrian who knew what was going down during the depression, he'd be a lot more convincing. There's a huge database of Austrian literature on the Web for free Operative, perhaps you should read some of the primary source and decide for yourself if you like what they were saying.

Wait, why am I getting involved in the meta-Operative Debate? This is dumb.
