The goverment can function w/o the ability to borrow anymore money. Require social security recipients to show that they need their check before sending it to them. Stop paying retirement money to federal retirees below age 65. Everyone on unemployment over 8 weeks goes on half rations. Independence for Puerto Rico so the US does not have to pay all the SSDI money sent to that island. Stop bombing Libya. Shut down our military bases in Korea and Germany. Replace food stamps with food pantries.
