Yes. This. To be pedantic, the inaccuracy in the sentence "we're involved in two wars" isn't just the word "two", like Wonderment said, but also the word "wars". You could subsume everything we're doing into a "global war on terror", but that would both be an obvious attempt to further the OMG-western-civilization-is-under-attack meme, which I don't think is useful and I'm not a fan of, and also makes us think that "winning" is going to look the same in Iraq as it does in Afghanistan, Yemen, Somalia, etc., and that we should approach fighting terrorism in the same way in all these places. It also promotes the idea that the best way to counter terrorism is through military force, not through the legal system or public diplomacy or whatever.
