The crying voice

For the male equivalent of the crying voice, think Bill Clinton and "Ah feel yuh pain." Kind of off-putting in the abstract, yet I usually ended up feeling awed by Clinton's deftness.

Mark Kleiman's notion that there is no intrinsic benefit to being more wealthy is bananas. His point could be argued at the individual level after a certain level of wealth, but it is certainly not...
