Re: Shorter this entire diavlog

I gave up commenting on Bloggingheads a long time ago, because I felt that BJ had hijacked the section and I grew weary of his personal attacks and unfounded accusations.

I imagine that he will...

Re: The eye contact thing

Yes, that is true -- we always tend to want people to be something other than what they are. The differences between all four candidate's personalities are stark and yet advice is constantly given...

Re: What Would Gary Do?

Bob's comment that Americans don't seem to want a smarter-than-they-are President isn't exactly right because both the highly intelligent Bill Clinton and Ross Perot engaged the public's attention on...

Re: Miss Alaska

If McCain had chosen Romney or Pawlenty, the Pressí reaction would have been ďHo Hum -- Now Back to ObamaĒ! Itís obvious that McCain was forced into offering up some pizzazz and Palin fit the bill. ...

Re: Diavlog for One

Pretty cool when a Blogginghead pipes in on the Commentors -- wish that more would. Whether you love or hate Ann, she is a feisty one and difficult to pigeonhole. I think that she has the best...

Re: Aw, Nuts

Somehow I'm not convinced that your remarks are sincere. I could provide more examples, but don't think that would do the trick either.

Perhaps someone out there in BHTV-land who doesn't...

Re: Aw, Nuts

I have to admit that you did hurt my feelings a little, but also understand where youíre coming from. Some of my own family members maintain your perspective and although we had previously...

Re: Aw, Nuts

Iíve already mentioned Lizza and Jackson, so wonít rehash those. Of course the whole pattern started with Hillary and itís hard to erase that from oneís mind because character judgments are...

Re: Aw, Nuts

To BJ Keefe: regarding your interpretation of my post(s):

Guess I learned a new word today (concern troll). Never dreamed that I was one of those. My point about Obama still stands though, he...

Re: Aw, Nuts

Whew, that sounded just a tad bitter. I think I've been about as open as possible since you've all got me "tagged" as a Clinton (whatever BJ said) so I don't see myself as having a hidden agenda...

Re: Aw, Nuts

Bottom of the bus is actually a revision of threw under the bus, so not totally used up yet. Problem is it keeps happening so it's still apt.

Guess you didn't like the term "cajonectomy" -- that...

Re: Aw, Nuts

The gentleman in question was an attendant at the NAACP convention and I saw the brief TV interview with him -- it wasn't something that I took off the internet. He seemed sincere and wasn't dissing...

Re: Aw, Nuts

I believe that Obama missed a real opportunity to exhibit magnanimity at the NAACP conference when he pretty much threw Jesse Jackson under the bus with his declaration of "I'm not going to stop...

Re: Aw, Nuts

One black leader (sorry, can't remember who) who was briefly interviewed at the NAACP conference commented that some in his group have legitimate concerns about an Obama presidency because others...

Re: New Yorker Obama Cover

If Rosa would be so kind as to run for President on the Socialist Ticket, I would gladly vote for her because I think she has excellent natural instincts regarding how a candidate should handle...

Re: The Skinny on Obesity

There are studies showing that many inner city residents do not have ready access to produce and other healthy food since those type of businesses shy away from setting up shop in those neighborhoods...

Re: UN Plaza: Public Diplomacy Edition

Jim Murphy mentions the Mayor of Salt Lake City's strong interest in environmental issues. I don't know if he was referring to the previous one or the one who took office on Jan, '08 but it looks...

Re: UN Plaza: Public Diplomacy Edition

I agree that it should be the No. 1 issue because it goes to the very core of our existence. Jim Murphy's comment about how those "without shoes" aren't likely to care much about future planetary...

Re: The Week in Blog: Obama vs. the Netroots

Re: The Week in Blog: Obama vs. the Netroots

Agreed. The Republicans had also told the Democrats to immediately "Get Over It" after the 2000 election. I sincerely believe that there are some who have not yet done so. You know, for some...

Re: The Week in Blog: Obama vs. the Netroots

Regarding the meditation thing -- that may or may not be true (I prefer to remain a person of mystery). I just pretty much didn't like the taunts that had been thrown EW's way because of that. It...
