Poll: Who should replace Matt Lewis?
 

Many of us came to lurv Matt Lewis in his time here at TWIB, and I was one of them.

Now let's do a straw poll to see who should replace him! I vote Bill Beutler: he's been superb each of the times he's guested. Plus he's from PDX.

We need to somehow rope Allahpundit into this, although that would never happen. I'd love Ramesh to do it, but I don't know if the job is cut out for him. I think the best guy would probably be Dan Foster from NRO, as he seems to keep tabs on most of the blogosphere, and is a generally affable guy that Bill could get along well with.

I voted for Conn because he tries to stick to substantial arguments as opposed to insider politics (which is less interesting to me personally). However, Tim Carney might also be interesting with Bill.

I was thinking we could try and talk him out of his pseudo anonymous shtick. We just need to assuage his fears that going public won't lead to Rush Limbaugh having lackeys track him down and impale him for his atheism.

I think he does a good job pointing out the double-standard with the Dems always painting the Republicans as being in bed with corporations etc...when in fact they're just as in bed if not more. On the other hand, I don't particularly care for his social positions...

Close minded. Intolerant. I don't even read Red State... it's way too partisan and red for my tastes. Same reason I don't pay much attention to Bill Scher (too blue)... except when he comes on bh.tv
