Maureen Dowd says what needs to be said
MoDo has a great column in today's NYT. Read it.
If you're disinclined to click the link, at least read this bit: I tended to agree with some Obama advisers that Democratic presidents typically have provoked a frothing response from paranoids — from Father Coughlin against F.D.R. to Joe McCarthy against Truman to the John Birchers against J.F.K. and the vast right-wing conspiracy against Bill Clinton. But Wilson’s shocking disrespect for the office of the president — no Democrat ever shouted “liar” at W. when he was hawking a fake case for war in Iraq — convinced me: Some people just can’t believe a black man is president and will never accept it. Bravo, Maureen. |
Re: Maureen Dowd says what needs to be said
Great column; thank you for the link.
Meanwhile, Rachel Maddow explores the merger of the Republican Party leadership and its extremist base. |

Congratulations on the byline nikkibong. I hope you'll forgive me if I'm a bit ambivalent, though, regarding the venue. Eeww, ick!

I hear ya on the mag. . . but I stand by everything that I said in my particular article. (Also, I take no personal responsibility for the invasion of Iraq.) And if Phillip Anschutz wants to send me a check - who am I to say no? :) |
They're All Racists!
Bullshit! They're racists! Racists!
{Added} - I can't believe you thought this article was quality nikkibong. Talk about superficial at its best. |

Congratulations!
Ethan, seriously.
Best of luck! This is Bob monovlog-worthy, if anything is. "Leftwing bhtv commenter publishes in Weekly Standard." Kudos! |
Re: Maureen Dowd says what needs to be said
I am proud of you , Nikki!
Wait, aren't you a LEFT-wing agitator and socialist deathpanel-ite traitor from Kenya and Indonesia only posing as an Oregonian? Oh, I get it. You have infiltrated the belly of the monster!* *"Viví en el monstruo, y le conozco las entrañas." Often translated as "I lived in the belly of the monster" José Martí, May 18, 1895 |
