I did not know they kept a no contact policy, which means there are still probably dozens of populations of humans in that area who have had zero contact with the modern world.

However, there's been discoveries like that before and after a while they end up finding out that there has been some exposure to "civilization", even if brief and with little consequences.

The most amazing thing is that all that undiscovered territory is right here on this planet.
