What a contrast Glenn provides from another oh-so-principled libertarian:
And of course, this ignores the fact that he was married. I think we can safely say that premarital sex with more than one person is now normal in our society. That doesn't mean it's okay for a married man to have a girlfriend on the side. If this had happened while Weiner was still single, it would have been embarrassing, but -- aside from the possibility that he used government computers -- not particularly newsworthy. Once he started sexually explicit relationships outside of his marriage, it became an entirely different thing.
No really, I'm the business and economics editor ... Estonia, Singapore, Markets ... (http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2011/06/should-weiner-go/240053/)

Heh, yeah. There's a huge moral assumption by those who sit in judgement on stuff like this. I've met couples that are totally happy that allow and even encourage each other to enjoy flirtation with people outside the marriage. Some of them are swingers or polyamorists, and some are just adults that realize that look-but-don't-touch can be a totally acceptable policy for two people in a committed relationship. I wonder what would happen if Weiner's wife came out and said something like that. How would the public respond.

Seriously. Who cares?

I think he was being really stupid - that a public figure would send raunchy pictures to anyone seems idiotic.

But, so what?
