Lot's of feel-good, America yay!!! (http://learnourhistory.com/go.cfm?do=Video.Play&vid=1) Sound historical sholarship? Not (http://www.historycooperative.org/journals/ht/40.3/br_6.html) so much (http://edgeofthewest.wordpress.com/2010/03/24/lying-liberal-liars-and-their-loathsome-lies/).

I guess we shouldn't be that surprised that a young-earth creationist would care very little for vigorous scholarship.

I wonder if noted historians David Barton (http://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/05/us/politics/05barton.html) and Newt Gingrich (http://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/12/opinion/12thu2.html) "consulted."

LOL.

More of the wingnuts' elaborate construction of an alternate universe. I know some conservatives who would squeal with delight if they saw those cartoonish videos.

Maybe if we are lucky we can attract some wingnuts into this thread and ask them to explain their worldview in exhaustive detail and at great length. Because nothing interests me more.

Lack of self-awareness or utterly shameless hypocrisy? You make the call.

Sez the Huckster, via Pareene (http://www.salon.com/news/mike_huckabee/index.html?story=/politics/war_room/2011/05/12/huckabee_history):

What's worse, some teachers and education boards are using history and social studies classes as their soap box to promote their own political opinions and biases! And to me, that's simply unacceptable.

Mike Huckabee is the new Glenn Beck.
