Looks like someone forgot to consult the rules.

I'm sure Republicans are already drafting challenges to defend the constitution (http://blogs.investors.com/capitalhill/index.php/home/35-politicsinvesting/2564-ryan-plan-unconstitutional-under-senate-gop-balanced-budget-amendment), like they did with Obamacare!!1!.

And since Paul Ryan supported the Balanced Budget Amendment...! Wait, what? He didn't? Oh. Shit. This is a lot less compelling then, isn't it?

So now the GOP has two party-defining budget documents that are incompatible. The question is which one will the presidential contenders rally around?

There is very little evidence of coherence in GOP strategy at the moment. Schumer was right when he said the Teapers may have have helped elect them, but they're not helping at all with the task of governing. (I guess we could ask Boehner about that!)
