Thank you for the link. I may be attending a talk in one of the local chapters in my area this weekend.

Shoot, I forgot all about this (I meant to go since it's in LA). Oh well, hopefully they stream some of the good stuff. Thanks for the heads-up!

I was here. Bob did great against Sam Harris. What a nice guy, signed my book and shot the shit with me for a few minutes. Really great conference.

Unfortunately, I find Harris to be my least favorite of the "New Atheists." I would much rather see Bob debate: Dennett, Dawkins, PZ Myers (http://scienceblogs.com/pharyngula/2010/10/post_6.php) or Jerry Coyne (http://www.usatoday.com/news/opinion/forum/2010-10-11-column11_ST_N.htm).

Accounts from PZ (http://scienceblogs.com/pharyngula/2010/10/godless_get_good_press.php) and LA Times (http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-humanists-20101010,0,2446585.story).

I missed the original broadcast of Bob and Sam's debate, it is available on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJ9aMthqOig (part 1)

Here's a link to the whole thing in full - provided by me&theboys:

It starts at the 8 1/2 minute mark (skipping the intro).

Check out the question by Richard Dawkins at the two hour mark (the whole thing is interesting).

Funny watching Bob pound down the coffee (4 cups in seven minutes?) before the event started. I'm sure everyone recalls Bob's many references in past diavlogs to drugs and their effect on cognition.

Excellent opening argument from Bob -- haven't listened to the rest, yet.

Thanks for posting the link.
