Corporate Oil city Houston, Texas (lovely rainbow color)

Microbrew, Latte city Portland, Oregon (apple red)

Find your home (http://www.flickr.com/photos/walkingsf/sets/72157624812674967/), see how ethnically diverse your city is.

Yeah, I saw that earlier this week. It allowed me to have a nice chuckle at the expense of some of my upper-middle-class white friends who live in very expensive parts of Brooklyn but are routinely telling me that their neighborhoods are more ethnically diverse than places of equal socio-economic status in Manhattan.

Glad you get a chuckle out of these maps. I do too. There is part of Manhattan where the red is so darkly red... David Duke couldn't have gerrymandered the demographics any better. Haha.

I think you missed the point, Lyle -- it's not to see how "ethnically diverse" your city is, it's to see how ethnically segregated it is. Thanks for posting the link, though.

Both actually... cause it ain't like people don't ever leave their ethnic conclaves to interact with other people in the city. Haha. :)
