Justice Kennedy goes (http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-kennedy4-2010feb04,0,1430237.story) 1 for 2 in his indictment of the "sick" prison guard union that has CA Republicans in its pocket.

Doesn't Gov. Arnold want to privatize prisons there, turning prisoners into profit centers? Coupled with the new ruling on corporate political purchases that should make the guards' union look like small time. Maybe with the help of a thriving prison industry California will swap "three strikes" for the Bush doctrine: "don't wait for them to commit a crime - lock them all uip now!"

What could possibly go wrong (http://bjkeefe.blogspot.com/2009/02/new-lows-in-scumbaggery-reached.html) with that plan?

Wait... so police unions should be censored by the government? What? A combination of criminal defense attorneys could have out spent the police union... maybe they even did. Politics can be awfully funny.

That said... I'm simpatico with Kennedy's point on our state prisons.
