The talk with Hitchens had some comments about Hitchens style of argument and got me thinking about the use of rhetoric and its effectiveness.

Here is one of the most impressive examples of it I have ever encountered.

It makes you wonder who penned that, it is such an impressive display of writing for its purpose

As a side note, one of the reasons listening to Hitchens is more interesting than the average random talker is that he pays Some attention to rhetorical craft.

Sloppily? To some maybe, but whether it makes you delight in agreement or annoys the hell out of you, it's not bland.

On second thought I think rhetoric may be the wrong word choice, I guess I am talking more about style?

Though it seems related to the way you argue.

Though it seems related to the way you argue.Well, I was confused, because your post didn't seem to match your thread title, but I took a stab at matching your post.
