That seems consistent with the view that people's stated beliefs are more about their emotional commitments than their actual beliefs.

yes, the pleasure experienced by non-believers denying christian beliefs and the believers affirming them seems to point this way.

than their actual beliefs.

but i'm not sure what you mean by this. It did say that both groups used more of their memory retrieval apparatus when assessing non-religious claims. i'm not sure if that is what you are getting at?

but i only skimmed the article so maybe i missed something obvious?

I enjoyed the article on the dead salmon having responses to humans. always like to see some humour.
