In light of recent events here at BHtv, you might appreciate today's Doonesbury (http://www.doonesbury.com/strip/dailydose/index.html?up_year_month=200909&up_day=06).

They believe in an evidence based world. Something called rationalism. But it's a tiny group, not so influential.

I had no idea Doonesbury was still around. Worth a bookmark notwithstanding my irrational hatred of Slate.

Oh, I dunno. Hatred of Slate seems pretty rational to me.

Okay, maybe not across the board hatred. Tim Noah, Jack Shafer, Dahlia Lithwick, and Emily Bazelon strike me as worth a look, and occasionally The Explainer gives some fun factoids. And there are probably others.

But there is something, overall, to what Doghouse Riley calls their reverse double back flip with a half twist contrarianism that gets mighty old.

Plus the whole hipster snootiness thing.
