Remind me which parable it is where Jesus talks about the glory of gun ownership . . . ?

But don't you dare accuse them of "clinging" to their guns and religion!

Heh. My thoughts (http://bjkeefe.blogspot.com/2009/06/what-was-it-that-guy-said-that-time.html) exactly, when I first heard about this.

Gotta love their original promo poster.

Actually, maybe this is what Yeshuah was doing before he turned 30. He most likely was an apocalyptic Jewish preacher - they were a dime a dozen in those days. He may have been stocking up on weapons and canned goods in his backyard bomb shelter.

I immediately though of the John Prine song, "Jesus: The Missing Years." Could not find a Prine version but this cover is ok - more like so-so. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qY5H_i0Ej0) This cover (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFPfLM2FiXc) may be more in the spirit.

Here is Prine himself singing "Angel from Montgomery (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVZmSEpuJtg)". If you are looking for something to do today, go to Youtube and watch some Steve Goodman and John Prine videos.

Nice! Although your caption could have been "praise the lord, lock and load! ;-)"

If the Romans had had guns, who knows what Jesus would have said. Or maybe nobody would have listened to him.

isn't that the first line of a country song?
