That's no reporter, Jon. That's a TV critic, critiquing "The President at the Press Conference" as performance.

Then what about the guy asking how "enchanting" it is for Obama?!?!??!????!??!??!?(keyboard spaz)

Look, I don't mind it, it doesn't bother me, in fact it amuses me that these guys LOVE him so much, I just want them to admit that they have a genuine crush on Obama, I think they want him.

I wish Obama would throw them a bone and just let them kiss his ring, or throw flower petals in front of his pathway, or let him use their backs as a stepping stool to get into an SUV. Based off what we see here, there would be plenty of takers.

What you fail to realize is that much like you, what these guys love is the sound of their own questions, as mindless or self referential as they might be.

Cheese 'n' rice, Jon. Take a breath.

Look, I'll be the first to agree that the most of the White House press corps ask no end of inane questions. However, in this case, if you read the whole question (http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2009/04/30/transcript-of-obamas-100th-day-press-conference/), it's far from the worst I've heard from that bunch:

Q Thank you, Mr. President. During these first 100 days, what has surprised you the most about this office, enchanted you the most about serving this in office, humbled you the most and troubled you the most?

Once you stipulate to The Ninth Law of MSM Coverage of the Presidency, to wit, "The One Hundred Days Milestone Is Significant (And By 'Significant,' We Mean 'An Easy News Hook') And Besides, Our Competition Will Be Doing This Story So We Have To, Too," that's not a bad question. It's nicely open-ended and also has some constraints. Such questions can let us see how the respondent thinks on his feet. Remember how instructive it was to hear George W. Bush say his biggest regret about his presidency was that fish that got away? (Or whatever it was, exactly.)

Look, I don't mind it, it doesn't bother me, ...

Yeah, sure. That's why you started a thread on it and you later typed "?!?!??!????!??!??!?(keyboard spaz)." And you continue to go on ...

... in fact it amuses me that these guys LOVE him so much, I just want them to admit that they have a genuine crush on Obama, I think they want him.

You're making a sweeping and wholly unsupportable generalization. You could as easily talk about the deranged, hate-everything-he-does attitude on display from an equal number of the media. You could also talk about dimwits like Jake Tapper (http://wonkette.com/375586/obamas-smoking-ruins-special-bond-with-jake-tapper) and Ed Henry (http://wonkette.com/407264/cnns-ed-henry-writes-worst-article-in-american-history) and the clowns from Politco (http://wonkette.com/405729/not-to-be-sexist-but-politico-is-pmsing-real-bad-like-women-do) who are perpetually onanistic about their own "tough questions." And don't get me started on what lapdogs the entire press corps was for George W. Bush while he lied the country into a stupid war and shat all over the Constitution.

You don't like the way the White House press corps behaves? Ignore them, like sensible people do.

The media should really go a lot harder on Obama. Like maybe use the phrase "kinda guy you want to have a beer with" incessantly. Or call him a "Maverick."

It's drivel like this that make me feel like Frank Grimes sometimes.

So, should we start calling you "Borstal Boy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Grimes_(actor))?"

Like I said, sometimes these posts make me feel like Frank Grimes.

Jon, you imply that the media somehow has become a bunch of fawning idiots because of Obama. I assert that they've always been such with politicians of both parties. It's pretty easy to find plenty of examples, I simply offered two of the more recent and most obvious.
