Didn't several of the wingnuts warn us that electing Obama would be sending a surrender signal to the world about Iraq. It sometimes amazes me how similiar they sound to Al Qaeda:

Al-Zawahri said...Obama's victory showed Americans acknowledged that President George W. Bush's policies were a failure and that the result was an "admission of defeat in Iraq."

Two sides of the same coin, i'n't it? They're both selling fear, hate, and permanent division, and they're both terrified that Obama's message is going to keep taking root, and then where will they be?

And did you see that al-Zawahiri appears to be channeling Ralph Nader (http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/11/19/10141/443/597/663506)? (Stalkin' Malkin (http://michellemalkin.com/2008/11/19/al-qaeda-calls-obama-house-negro/) and Atlas Juggs (http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/2008/11/al-zawahri-call.html) can barely contain their glee.)

Yeah, harkin, I said "Juggs." You can get off your fainting couch now.

Props to STACLU (http://www.stoptheaclu.com/archives/2008/11/19/ayman-al-zawahri-calls-obama-a-house-negroe/), though. Be interesting to see how this plays across Wingnuttia -- who to hate more, Obama or al Qaeda?

Ugh..thanks for reminding me why I studiously avoid ever reading Malkin. Al Zawahiri is pretty tame by comparison. Although her Shelby Steele/Clarence Thomas line did make me laugh!

Joe Klein (partly by quoting Richard Clarke) carries this thinking another step (http://swampland.blogs.time.com/2008/11/19/things-that-matter/). (via Sully (http://andrewsullivan.theatlantic.com/the_daily_dish/2008/11/obama-pwns-zawa.html))

Wow, that's probably the most coherent thing Joe Klein has written in about 4 years.

I used to call him Joke Line myself, but he was pretty good down the stretch. He just had to reach the tipping point with McCain and Palin.

Did you see this (http://bjkeefe.blogspot.com/2008/10/takes-on-plane.html)? Or this (http://bjkeefe.blogspot.com/2008/10/new-name.html)?

Or earlier, this (http://www.time-blog.com/swampland/2008/09/angry_amateurs.html), this (http://time-blog.com/swampland/2008/09/apology_not_accepted.html), and this (http://www.time-blog.com/swampland/2008/09/wingnuts_at_play.html)?
